Experimentation in My Art Journal
The sketchbook is where I give myself permission to not know what I'm doing — and mean that in the best possible way.
This video moves through a series of journal spreads built from layers of acrylic, collage, mark-making, and written fragments. Teal grounds give way to bursts of chartreuse and yellow; black marks anchor what might otherwise float away.
The pages ask a question I keep returning to in my art practice: what's the difference between letting something percolate and pushing too hard? The journal is where I can work this out.
